O. Winston Link: Trains That Passed In The Night
Watch here
O. WINSTON LINK’s photography captured the romance of steam trains and the 1950s
His extraordinary photographs were made at night and in action on the very last steam line in America, the Norfolk and Western. This important documentary takes a journey with O. Winston Link – filmed when he was in his late 70’s – along the tracks of the N & W through Virginia and West Virginia. In the process re-creating several of Link’s most famous photographs, the film lyrically examines a bygone era of rural America.
